(NECN) - Tom Menino has served as Boston's mayor since 1994. He is stepping down, and Mayor-elect Marty Walsh is stepping up.

Latoyia Edwards sat down with the man who will lead Boston beginning January 6.

Mayor-elect Walsh discussed his views on diversity, immigration and economic development.

"It's important to make sure that we reflect Boston in my administration, and we will in my cabinet," said Walsh. "A lot of times, diversity came up, and the lack of diversity in certain aspects around government, and I feel that that's what my administration's going to be made up of."
