(NECN) - With all of the movies out in theaters right now, Garen Daly stopped by to tell us about the newest releases.
"In Country Song" starring Gweneth Paltrow is about a woman who just got out of rehab, has two young kids, and tries a singing career with her husband as her manager. Daly says Paltrow is very good in it, but he doesn't "think it's going to play well in New England, but I do think it's going to play well in other parts of the country."
"Rabbit Hole" is a film based on a play about the loss of a child. It's starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart, and it's a story about how two different people deal with the loss. Daly says he liked it, but "couldn't quite find the soul of the film." He says if you lower your expectations before you see it, you'll be satisfied.
Finally, "Somewhere" is a movie starring Stephen Dorff about a struggling actor who is trying to reconnect with his daughter. Daly says they "tried to show the loneliness of being a celebrity," but unfortunately loneliness means lots of long takes where the audience gets bored.
