(NECN) - New Hampshire police say slippery road conditions may be to blame for a crash that killed a Malden, Mass. teen.

Sixteen-year-old Julia Vanella died Saturday when her mother's SUV drifted over the center line on Route 16 on the line between Milton and Wakefield, N.H.

Several other passengers suffered serious injuries.

Grief counseling was offered at Vanella's high school and a vigil took place.
