(NECN: Audrey Washington, Mystic, Conn.) - Eight inches of snow was dumped on Mystic overnight Wednesday. Few people are on the roads. Plow crews are working diligently to get the roadways cleared up.

Arctic wind gusts are steadily whipping about and are a cause for concern Wednesday morning. Snow drifts are impairing visibility. Temperatures are bone-chilling.

Roads are still coated in snow and travel conditions are very slick. Folks are urged to stay off the roads if possible.
