(NECN: John Monahan) - Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo has torn his anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the season, according to the team.

The loss of Rondo was announced as the team broke a six-game losing streak with a 100-98 win over the Miami Heat.

Celtics fans are disappointed with the loss of one of the team's star players, but some are still optimistic that Boston could find success.

"We could still have a chance, we proved it tonight," said one fan.

NECN reporter John Monahan has more from fans.
