Bridget Blythe joined NECN in January 2011 and is one of our morning and mid-day anchors.
Bridget grew up on a horse farm in Saratoga County in Upstate New York, but living and working in New England has been on Bridget's wish list since she was a young girl visiting Cape Cod with her family.
Bridget's career began in Albany, NY as a multimedia journalist at Capital News 9/YNN. While there, she gained experience both on air and behind the scenes.
As an anchor, reporter and producer at WKBW in Buffalo, NY, Bridget was part of the coverage for major events including the February 2009 crash of Continental Airlines flight 3407, which killed 50 people in the Buffalo suburb of Clarence Center.
As a volunteer with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since 2009, Bridget has raised more than fifteen thousand dollars through independent fundraisers, while also participating in three marathon events - including the 2012 Boston Marathon - and a Spartan Race - at Fenway Park - with the LLS Team in Training.
Bridget lives with her Husband, Shaun, their daughter Quinn and their American Bulldog, Wakefield (yes, named after the former Red Sox Pitcher) on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
