(NECN/KGW) - The Coast Guard is cleaning up oil from this barge on the Columbia River in Washington state.

And officials are trying to determine the cause of the leak. The barge has been moored there for years, but sank in the last year and a half.

It started breaking up and leaking oil last week. The Coast Guard says it appears the owners caused the problems while salvaging parts.

Boom has been set up to contain the oil.
