Economy Adds 175K Jobs, Unemployment Hits 6.7 Percent

U.S. employers added a better-than-expected 175,000 jobs in February, CNBC reported. The jobless rate rose slightly to 6.7 percent from 6.6 percent in January. A separate measure of unemployment that includes discouraged and underemployed workers declined to 12.6 percent from 12.7 percent, CNBC reported. Economists had forecast 149,000 new jobs would be created as economic growth has waned over the past two months, according to CNBC
