UPDATE (6:55 p.m.) - Fitchburg, Mass. fire crews are still at the scene, but the main body of the fire has been knocked down. Officials say at least a third of the building has been heavily damaged from the fire, and they are not sure if people were inside at the time, but reports indicate that people were out of the store before the explosion happened.

A Fitchburg Fire official says Victory Auto is mainly a retail store.

The official says the State Fire Marshal's Office and Fitchburg Fire Prevention are investigating.

(NECN) - Fitchburg, Mass. Fire confirms there was an explosion at an auto shop Tuesday night.

Officials say crews are still on the scene at the Victory Auto on Lunenberg Street.

Fitchburg Fire says there are no injuries that they are aware of, and the cause of the explosion is not known.
