RI man in custody after 13-year-old SC girl allegedly flies across country to meet him

(NECN) - A teenage girl allegedly flied across country to meet a 19-year-old man, only to get caught by Rhode Island Police at the airport.
State police say the intercepted the 13-year-old South Carolina girl at T.F. Green Airport as she was flying into the ocean state to meet a 19-year-old man she met online.
The teen claimed that her mother knew about the relationship and have given her permission to make the trip.
Police arrested Andrew Silvestri of East Providence and charged him with indecent solicitation of a child.
The girl is in the custody of Rhode Island child welfare officials.
