(NECN: Greg Wayland, Braintree, Mass.) - As Pope Benedict prepares to step down, Cardinal Sean O’Malley of the Archdiocese of Boston celebrated a mass in his private chapel in gratitude for Benedict's time as Pontiff.

There has been speculation that O’Malley could be under consideration to become the next pope.
