Montana Sen. John Walsh announced Thursday that he is dropping his bid for reelection following a report that much of his master's thesis was plagiarized, NBC News reported. The New York Times reported last month that Walsh had copied large portions of the paper he wrote in 2007 while attending the U.S. Army War College. He already faced an uphill battle against his Republican challenger before the Times story broke.
