Police Searching for Two Suspects Who Entered Home, Stole Jewelry

Police tell residents the suspects got in through a backdoor that had been left unlocked

In an upscale Walpole neighborhood police are hoping to find the two suspects who broke into a home on Atlantic Court Sunday night.

“It’s pretty unnerving,” said neighbor Mark Nazar.

Neighbors found out Monday morning.

“We have a What’sApp group with the entire neighborhood,” said Helen Nazar. ”Neighborhood watch type thing, and they reported it to the group and we came out and saw police here.”

One of the two suspects was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance camera.

Investigators say the pair tried to enter multiple homes in the Walpole Estates neighborhood.

“They asked questions from everyone in the neighborhood, if we had seen anything, if we heard anything,” said Helen.

Police tell residents the suspects got in through a backdoor that had been left unlocked.

“It’s a long weekend, somebody must have been on the lookout for empty homes,” said another neighbor. “It’s sad and it’s scary.”

The homeowner, who declined to be identified, says the suspects made off with almost 20 gold rings from a bedroom dresser.

Nothing else was taken. The home was not even ransacked.

Neighbors say they have noticed a couple of people driving around the neighborhood recently that seemed out of place.

Police are looking for tips to help track down the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact Walpole detectives at 508-668-1212.
