EDMONTON – Brian McGrattan, the veteran enforcer who made the trip to Europe with the Bruins after winning a roster spot as a training-camp invitee but who was then farmed out to Providence, was traded to the Anaheim Ducks Sunday along with defenseman Sean Zimmerman for AHL forwards David Laliberte and Stephane Chaput.
Laliberte and Chaput will both report to Providence.
McGrattan, 29, arrived in Boston as an invite to training camp, made the team out of camp and traveled with the B’s for their European Premiere games before eventually getting sent down to the AHL. He played in 39 games with the P-Bruins and finished with four goals and an assist along with 97 penalty minutes at the AHL level following his demotion from Boston.
