Logan Dooley

Country: USA
Sport: Trampoline
Date of Birth: 09/26/1987
First Olympics: 2016, Rio

Logan Dooley’s parents jump-started their son’s athletic career by giving him a backyard trampoline as a birthday present. Worried that their fearless 7-year-old would hurt himself, they enrolled him in lessons—not even realizing it was a competitive sport. Twenty years later, Dooley has two stints as a non-competing Olympic alternate on his résumé. He’s already made history by qualifying for a world championship final in 2013, which an American male hadn’t done in 33 years. At the trampoline national championships he’s been a consistent medalist, collecting five silvers and four bronzes from 2008 to 2016. Dooley finally realized his Olympic dream in 2016, which his combined results from three domestic competitions earned him the top Olympic qualifying score. He will be the U.S.' sole men's trampoline athlete in Rio.
