(NECN) - A passenger of a JetBlue flight died mid-air, as the flight was headed toward Boston's Logan International Airport.

Officials say not long after JetBlue Flight 462 took off from Fort Myers, Fla., one passenger suffered a medical emergency on board.

Passengers say nurses and flight attendants did all they could to save the man's life.

Authorities have not released much information about the victim, but NECN has learned he was an older man from the Boston area.
