(NECN: Katelyn Tivnan) - Get ready to tumble! The world's top gymnasts are taking over Worcester. They'll be competing this weekend at the American Cup at the DCU Center.

Friday, America's top junior Olympic gymnasts competed in the Nastia Lukin Cup. Several former Olympians will also be competing in Saturday's American Cup.

USA Gymnastics president Steve Penny says the the country's success in the London Olympics has created a big buzz.

"Even more is exciting to see is the growth it fosters on the class and club level a lot of new kids are getting into the sport because of London," says Penny.

Jenn Cook is a gymnastics coach at the New England Academy of Gymnastics in Marlborough and she's seen the growth first hand.

"It's been crazy. This summer had so many more kids coming to the gym and gyms everywhere," says Cook.
