Boston Police Recover 3 Loaded Firearms, Arrest 3 Suspects

Boston police's Youth Violence Strike Force arrested three suspects while recovering three loaded firearms in three separate incidents. All three of the arrests occurred within nine hours of one another.

According to police, the first arrest was around 7:30 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop in the area of 46 Alwin Street in Hyde Park.

Officers stopped the suspect for a traffic infraction and removed him from the vehicle. They were performing a pat frisk when they discovered a loaded .380 caliber Walther PK380 handgun with an obliterated serial number, police said.

According to police, the suspect was identified as Allen Lopez, 27, of Hyde Park.

He was put in custody without incident, police said.

Lopez is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

He is set to appear in West Roxbury District Court.

It is unclear if he has an attorney.

According to police, the second arrest was made around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officers were investigating the area of 17A Livingstone Street in Dorchester when they located and approached the suspect in a driveway next to the address, police said. The officers were performing a pat frisk when they discovered a loaded .32 caliber Kimel Model 5000 revolver.

According to police, the suspect was identified as Donta White, 21, of Dorchester.

She was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

White is set to appear in Dorchester District Court.

It is unclear if she has an attorney.

The third arrest was made at 3:43 a.m. Saturday, police said.

According to police, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Columbia Road and Seaver Street.

When the officers arrived, they observed the suspect walking quickly on Columbia Road, clutching the waistband of his pants.

Officers stopped their vehicle and were preparing to exit in order to speak with the suspect when he took off running, police said.

The officers ran after the suspect and were closing in on him when he pulled a firearm from his waistband and threw it on the sidewalk, police said.

According to police, the firearm was later recovered and determined to be a .32 caliber Regent revolver with an obliterated serial number.

Officers placed the suspect in custody after a brief but violent struggle, police said.

The suspect was identified as Joquentz Constant, 22, of Dorchester.

He is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and resisting arrest.

Constant is set to appear in Dorchester District Court.

It is unclear if he has an attorney.
