(NECN: Alison King) - Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick is in Israel. Israel has become one of the world's technologically advanced countries.

The governor hopes to forge new relationships and, ultimately, create new jobs here.

He's visiting with Massachusetts business leaders for a 10-day trade mission. After landing, the group checked into a downtown hotel. The delegation includes business leaders working in life science, venture capital, clean energy, and education.

They will be meeting with Israeli high tech leaders with the goal of building bridges and creating global partnerships. It's all about jobs, and many companies hope to convince some Israeli businesses to invest in job creation in Massachusetts.
