(NECN) - A Dunkin’ Donuts employee in Connecticut fends off a would-be robber with the only weapon available at the time: coffee.

It happened Saturday night at the Dunkin' Donuts on First Avenue in West Haven.

Police say the suspect pulled up in the drive-through and tried to climb through the window.

That was when the clerk threw hot coffee in the man's face.

The man then took off.
