(NECN) - A Quincy, Mass. teen is being honored for his quick thinking.

Gov. Deval Patrick awarded 16-year-old Dylan Hughes with an official citation.

Hughes came to the rescue of his 103-year-old neighbor during last month's blizzard. He went over to check on her that weekend and found her on the floor of her home, freezing.

Hughes called 911 and was able to clear a path in the snow to get her out.

The woman was taken to the hospital and made a full recovery.
