Celtic Jason Terry cooks with Horizons for Homeless Children

(NECN) - Along with NECN and Comcast SportsNet New England, the Boston Celtics are doing their part to help Horizons for Homeless Children.

"We have a number of initiatives that run simultaneously throughout the year that promote health and wellness in our programs, both for kids and their families." Horizons C.O.O. Yolanda Coentro. "Today, we had the opportunity to cook with Jason Terry from the Celtics. You could see that all the food that was made was intentionally healthy.

The Celtics guard was happy to help the kids learn about nutrition.

"It's a great organization. They have some great workers," said Terry. "Some of these kids are not fortunate enough to have families, but this is their family. So it's a great support group for these kids and anytime people like the Celtics come in to show their support, it means a lot."
