(styleboston) - Every fashionista knows that tough times call for some creative thinking. Lacey Wilson is not exempt from wanting to learn how to shop well and on a budget. With the help of stylist, Sarah McManus, the ladies head to H&M in Downtown Crossing to do some damage for under one hundred dollars.
Sarah raves about H&M's new campaign called "The Blues." With denim pieces starting at $19.99, anyone can afford to update their denim to Spring's hottest trends. Sarah shows Lacey a great transitional piece, a denim jacket. The ladies have glitz and glam on the brain and Sarah is instantly drawn to a black sequined vest. For day, the vest can be used as a tunic by pairing it with leggings. For night, the vest can be worn solo with just tights and heels.
The ladies ask styleboston Recessionista Challenge winner, Jaime Ganson, to model some more great spring looks! First up is a ruffled, floral dress with a cropped denim jacket on top. The dress doesn't break the bank at $34.95 and neither does and $29.95 jacket! Feminine and flirty accessories, like a salmon color bowling bag and gold flats, make the look perfect for a day of, what else, shopping!
For a classic, runway look, Jaime sports a blue tweed jacket, a long, black tank top and black skinny jeans. Lots of pearls, gold and beads shimmering from around her neck and wrist make the look a homerun! To transition the look to night, Sarah suggests adding the black sequined vest from earlier and adding some chunky, gladiator heels.
