(NECN: South Boston, Mass.) - Happy St. Patrick's Day!

There are politicians galore in South Boston, Massachusetts on this St. Patrick's Day -- for the annual St. Patrick's Day Breakfast.

The gathering is traditionally an excuse for the state's top politicians to trade bad jokes and test their vocal skills with Irish songs.

There is a new host for this year's event -- South Boston City Councilor Bill Linehan. He takes over for State Senator Jack Hart, who resigned from Beacon Hill.

In this clip, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren says it's rumored that St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, but that unfortunately, too many went to Wall Street.
