(NECN: South Boston, Mass.) - Happy St. Patrick's Day!

There are politicians galore in South Boston, Massachusetts on this St. Patrick's Day -- for the annual St. Patrick's Day Breakfast.

The gathering is traditionally an excuse for the state's top politicians to trade bad jokes and test their vocal skills with Irish songs.

There is a new host for this year's event -- South Boston City Councilor Bill Linehan. He takes over for State Senator Jack Hart, who resigned from Beacon Hill.

In this clip, South Boston State Rep. hits a few targets and brings out a tombstone reading "RIP: John Connolly, Mayoral Candidate."
