(NECN) - Both the faithful and critical observers recognize a dynamic element to this new leader in just short time on the world stage.

What impact might this have going forward? Joining us with insight is Father Thomas Schmitt, Dean of Seminarians at Blessed John Seminary in Weston, Mass.

“I think he’s bringing his style, his big heart, his down-to-earth sense of being a pastor into this great office that has a lot of power,” says Father Schmitt.

“Who knows,” the Father says. “Who knows, but he will bring his own stamp, his own personality.”

Pope Francis will meet with Pope Emeritus Benedict for a private lunch on Saturday.
