School officials in Millbury, Massachusetts, notified parents Wednesday that a hit list has been found.
In a letter from Millbury Junior/Senior High School Principal Tara Bennett, it is noted that the list of names had been brought to the school's attention on Thursday.
Bennett said two students had listed the names of classmates "they purportedly wanted to harm."
"The incident was appropriately addressed and resolved according to our school protocols," Bennett said in the letter. "We recognize the seriousness of this type of incident, and safety remains our primary concern and responsibility."
Bennett noted that the school was working with Millbury Police to ensure the safety of students.
