GREENE, Maine (AP) - Maine State Police say a young boy has died after being struck by a snow plow truck driven by his father.

Police say 6-year-old Nathan Capponi was pronounced dead Wednesday morning after being taken to Central Maine Medical Center by ambulance.

Police say the accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. when the boy's father, 36-year-old Kevin Capponi, was finishing up plowing the driveway to his home in Greene. Officials say Capponi did not see his son playing on a scooter in the driveway while backing up his truck.
