Serious Car Crash in Bridgewater, Mass.

Massachusetts State Police are investigating a serious car crash in Bridgewater that resulted in two ejections and serious injuries Sunday afternoon.

At about 4:15 p.m., officials from the Middleboro Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 24 Southbound, south of Exit 15.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 36-year-old New Bedford man was traveling south on Route 24 in a 2000 Toyota Corolla, then the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a wood-lined area. As a result of the crash, the driver and a 46-year-old female passenger were both ejected from the vehicle.

The female passenger was flown by MedFlight helicopter to Tufts Medical Center in Boston for treatment of serious injuries.

In the second vehicle that was involved, the driver and 10-year-old passenger were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton for treatment.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
