(NECN) - After four decades, the bench at Boston University will have a new man calling the shots. BU introduced David Quinn as the school's new men's hockey coach, replacing Jack Parker, who is retiring after 40 seasons behind the Terriers' bench.

Quinn played at BU from 1984 to 1988 and was the associate head coach at the school from 2004 to 2009.

Quinn most recently served as an assistant coach for the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL.
