(NECN: Jennifer Eagan, New Bedford, Mass.) - Things have been tense for people living in New Bedford, Mass.

Around 6 p.m. Thursday at the SouthCoast Condominiums, police say a suspect fired gunshots. No one was hurt, but the standoff lasted hours.

Several roads in the area were shutdown, but have since reopened.
