Authorities in Maine Identify Man Killed in Mobile Home Fire

Neighbors reported the fire around 4 a.m. and firefighters found the man's body in the bedroom

Authorities in Maine have released the name of a 52-year-old man who died in a fire at a mobile home.

Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said firefighters found the body of Shaun Flaherty, Jr. after knocking down the early Saturday morning fire on Dana Avenue in Kittery.

McCausland said it appears to have started in the kitchen-living room area of the mobile home. The fire left the mobile home destroyed, and investigators could not determine what caused the fire.

McCausland said neighbors reported the fire around 4 a.m. and firefighters found the man's body in the bedroom. Flaherty lived alone in the home.

McCausland said Flaherty's death is the fourth in a Maine fire this year.
