(NECN: Greg Wayland, Boston) - With an 8-2 win over the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox are off to a good start to their 2013 season with their Opening Day game Monday.

But does the win erase what was a traumatizing season last year for many Sox fans?

"Turn the page on the new season I think," says one fan.

"I'd say playoffs. I think we're headin' for the playoffs this year," says another.

"I know the AL East is tough this year, but I feel like we got a good team," says a young fan.

"Just beat the Yankees," says another fan. "That's all I really care about."

Greg Wayland has more on the story.
