Source: Suffolk County DA Conley to join Boston mayoral race

(NECN) - A source has told NECN that Suffolk County DA Dan Conley will be joining the Boston mayoral race in the next few days.

Meanwhile, City Councilor Felix Arroyo sent a letter to supporters, saying he's seriously considering running for mayor.

State Rep. Marty Walsh is denying a report in the Boston Herald that he said he had entered the campaign. Walsh says he hasn't made any formal announcements.

The current candidates in the race are City Councilor John Connolly, community activist Will Dorcena and urban radio host Charles Clemmons.

The preliminary election will be Sept. 24, and the general election will be Nov. 5.
