(NECN) - A second person has been arrested for the stabbing of a woman in Boston who was pushing a baby stroller at the time of her attack.

Boston Police have arrested Dequan Sparks, 19, and have charged him with assault with intent to murder.

Police say Sparks attacked the woman Monday afternoon in Dorchester, adding he is the victim's ex-boyfriend and father of her child.

Police say Sparks also allowed his current girlfriend to stab the victim. That girlfriend, 17-year-old Samia Jones, is also facing charges.

According to officials, the victim is in stable condition and the baby in the stroller was not hurt.
