Connecticut State Police are investigating a murder-suicide in the town of Brooklyn.

Connecticut State Police are investigating a murder-suicide in the town of Brooklyn.

On Friday at 1:48 p.m., authorities responded to a structure fire on South Main Street and discovered two deceased bodies inside the building. The victims, who lived together in the home, were later identified as 51-year-old Wayne Harbold and 41-year-old Harley Roberge.

During the course of the investigation, detectives recovered firearms near one of the deceased men. State Police detectives say the fire is considered arson and are calling the case a murder-suicide.

The Office of the Chief State's Medical Examiner is conducting autopsies. The case incident remains under investigation.
