Man robbed of lobsters at knifepoint

(NECN) - Police in Worcester, Mass. responded to an unusual armed robbery call on Monday night. Stolen was some cash, a cell phone... and four lobsters.

Around 7:10 p.m., Worcester Police responded to Pub 99 at 11 East Central St. for a reported armed robbery of an individual. Upon arrival, the officers met with the 38-year-old male victim. The victim told police he had exited a bus at the hub station on Foster Street and begun to walk toward East Central Street by Pub 99 to meet up with his girlfriend.

While walking on Bridge Street, the man said he was approached by a male and a female. The male placed a knife against his throat and demanded everything the man had on him. The suspects took some cash, the victim's cell phone and a bag containing four lobsters and fled on foot toward Foster Street. The victim was not hurt.

The male suspect was described as being about 6’0” tall, with a muscular build, wearing a grey sweatshirt and jeans. The female suspect had a thin build and was wearing a red shirt.
