(NECN) - There's another name in the race for Boston mayor. City Councilor Michael Ross has announced he's running.

He's now the ninth candidate to declare, along with State Rep. Marty Walsh, city councilors John Connolly, Rob Consalvo and Felix Arroyo, Suffolk District Attorney Dan Conley, businessman Bill Walczak, as well as Will Dorcena and Charles Clemons.
