(NECN: Greg Wayland) - For Monday’s 117th Boston Marathon - weather's looking good.
Friday - we hear from some of the top competitors and previous champs.
Over 40 countries and some of the fastest people in the world will be competing in the marathon.

Greg Wayland speaks to past legends and winners about their experiences, and how they handled the stress.

“It’s a scenic route, and I know many people and many of the communities,” said former marathon winner Joan Benoit Samuelson.

Bright orange and royal blue are the marathon colors this year and this is where 27,000 runners will pick up their numbers and their windbreakers.

“This is Boston. This is like the mecca for runners, so for normal people, this is as close as we can get to the Olympics," said one runner.
