CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Former Rep. Carol Shea-Porter is running for the seat she lost in November in New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District.
Shea-Porter, a two-term Democrat, was defeated by Republican Frank Guinta 54 to 42 percent.
In an e-mail to supporters Thursday, Shea-Porter said she is running again because she believes the United States should remain the land of opportunity and fairness and that the current Congress is passing legislation that will hurt average Americans.
