Moment of silence, flag raising ceremony at Boston Marathon finish line

(NECN) – A flag-raising ceremony and a moment of silence helped commemorate the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings on Tuesday.

Two public safety officers raised the flag as those in attendance sang the Star-Spangled Banner.

Former Boston Mayor Tom Menino, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Vice President Joe Biden,  Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and law enforcement officers from across the region were in attendance.
