A patient was isolated with possible Ebola symptoms in Braintree, Massachusetts, officials confirmed Sunday afternoon

A patient was isolated with possible Ebola symptoms in Braintree, Massachusetts, officials confirmed Sunday afternoon, prompting the lockdown of a medical center.

Hospital officials say it is extremely unlikely that the patient has Ebola, but he remains in isolation in Boston.

The incident unfolded just before 2 Sunday afternoon at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.

The patient went to the medical center, complaining of various symptoms, also noting of recent travel to West Africa, prompting officials to respond.

The medical center was placed in a brief lockdown and the patient’s vehicle was transported to a secure location. It has since reopened following the incident.

People we spoke to Monday said the situation did concern them, but doesn’t warrant panic.

The Boston Public Health Commission released a statement saying they are prepared for situation like that on Sunday.
