One Fund Boston promoted on Twitter

(NECN) - The response to help the victim's of last Monday's Boston Marathon bombing has started to literally go viral.

Twitter has donated a "promoted trend," which raises visibility of the One Fund charity on the social media site.

It's estimated that at least 10,000 donations have been made already, including four that have been over $1,000,000.

Donations have been coming from a wide variety of sources, as well, including a Baltimore pie shop and from ticket sales at the Wake Forest-Boston College baseball game.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino made a joint appeal for donations on Sunday.
