(NECN) -  A senate judiciary committee will take up the issue of comprehensive immigration reform Monday.  
A bi-partisan group of senators called "The Gang of Eight" released their legislative proposal last week, amid the Boston Marathon bombings.       
The almost 900-page immigration bill has faced growing questions from conservative critics.  
Tighter border security is at the center of the debate.
