(NECN) - As the economy has slowly improved, the number of initial public offerings has increased and so has the number of scams. There are warnings from both the federal government and the financial industry about pre-IPO investment scams.

Author Steve Weisman of Bentley College joins Mike Nikitas on NECN Business with some tips.
