6 displaced by 3-alarm Mattapan fire

(NECN) - Six people were forced from their home overnight by a three-alarm fire.

It happened on Evelyn Street in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood around 3:30 a.m.

When crews arrived, flames were showing through the first and second floors. Everyone got out safely and the Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.

Three firefighters were transported to area hospitals.

Fire investigators are working to find the cause.
