(NECN) - A string of deadly bombings erupted in Afghanistan, just hours after President Obama's surprise visit.

Government officials say that at least seven people have been killed in a suicide attack.

The bombings happened hours after the president left the country.

The Taliban described the attack as retaliation for the president's visit.

Peter Krause, Research Fellow for Middle East Studies at Brandeis University, joined "The Morning Show" to discuss the latest developments, and the proposed US-Afghan partnership.
