Lindsay Lohan's latest troubles could land her behind bars, and an unexpected person may be coming to the rescue. According to TMZ, Lohan's former lawyer, Shawn Holley, is back on the case. Lohan and Holley parted ways several months ago, and Lohan brought on a lawyer from New York. But the 26-year-old apparently was not happy about having to serve her 90-day rehab stint at the California facility. She never even entered the facility she was supposed to Thursday. Lohan must check in Friday morning or prosecutors could ask for an arrest warrant.
The Twitter world is buzzing with news of a possible due date for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby! Kanye posted a single tweet to his account that reads "June eighteen." West famously deleted all of his tweets back in October so this newest update has fans wondering what it could mean. Aside from a due date, the tweet could also mark the release of a new album he's been working on or a new tour.
There was a bizarre loss in the music world. Heavy-metal guitarist Jeff Hanneman, the founding member of rock band Slayer, has died at the age of 49. A statement on the band's Facebook page said Hanneman ultimately died of liver failure Thursday in California. Apparently Hanneman had been suffering from a rare flesh-eating disease that he is believed to have contracted from a spider bite in 2011.
A spectacular solar eruption was caught on camera by NASA this week. Scientists call it a CME or coronal mass ejection. It erupted from the edge of the sun in a gigantic rolling wave of fire. CMEs can shoot a billion tons of particles into space at over a million miles per hour. The video was taken by NASA's solar dynamics observatory in extreme ultraviolet light and covers a time span of about two and a half hours in 12 seconds!
