(NECN)  - Minnesota appears poised to legalize same-sex marriage.

The same-sex marriage bill was approved by the House Committee on Rules Tuesday night.
Sponsors of the bill are confident that it will gain the necessary votes as it goes for a full House vote Wednesday.
If the bill does pass, Minnesota will become the twelfth state to legalize same-sex marriages.
Delaware became the eleventh Tuesday.
