A small memorial started to grow Sunday night after a terrifying afternoon in Medford where a woman and dog were killed and two others were injured in a pedestrian crash.
A juvenile male was driving around 4:49 p.m. in the area of Spring and Emerald streets when he struck and killed a woman, according to Medford Police Chief Leo Sacco Jr. and Middlesex DA Marian Ryan.
A preliminary investigation shows the suspect continued to drive on Spring Street and then he struck two more pedestrians a block later. The couple was walking their dog by the Citizen's Bank on Yeoman's Avenue.
Those two pedestrians, a male and a female, were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in serious condition. The dog that was with them at the time of the crash was killed.
The driver was taken into custody on scene, according to Chief Sacco Jr.
People who live on the road are shocked, in disbelief and disgusted by what they saw.
Marcia Pretto was in her doorway when the car sped by late Sunday afternoon.

"I was taking my dog for a walk outside when I opened the door and this car was coming too fast, too fast," she said.
"I was in the house and you could just hear the car zooming by," John Sardone, who lives on the street, said. "My daughter came running down from upstairs. She said, 'Dad, I think somebody got hit. I heard a big thump.'"
Sardone told NBC10 Boston that crashes keep happening in the area. He added Sunday's crash was the second one in two days.
"There's not a week that goes by without accidents."
Investigators said the driver they arrested is under the age of 18 and because of that, they are not releasing his name.
Angelika Diaz said she knows him from school.
"He's a great kid. He's always like honest with people. He's an A, B student in school, so it's shocking to hear it's him," Diaz said
It's not immediately clear why the driver crashed into multiple pedestrians.
The name of the woman killed has not been released. As of Sunday night, police were still trying to get in touch with her family.
"My thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved in this tragic event," Medford Mayor Stephanie Muccini Burke said in a tweet.
The crash is being actively investigated by troopers assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, Medford Police, and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
